Cannon studied at Glasgow School of Art, where she was a contemporary of another top Scottish stained glass artist, John Clark. Although a lot of her work has been in restoration and conservation (she was employed as the stained glass conservator for the Burrell Collection in Glasgow, one of the largest collections of medieval stained glass in the world) she has also carried out many of her own commissions such as this one where she combines her love of doors (!) with her love of plants.
