This unusual glasspainting is on a single large pane of cast glass almost a metre tall. Surrounded by more typical leaded panels of fruit and flowers, it shows part of the Palmeiras estate where the Clark family bred cattle to provide leather for their shoe making business. Oddly, the company George Clark founded is not Clarks shoes (they started in Somerset) but the Kilmarnock based shoe manufacturer Saxone.
